Philip has worked within aviation for over fifteen years. With a strong strategic, operational, project management and executive management background, Philip has been involved in a number of initiatives that have seen the aviation landscape change in Australia.

 

Philip was a key member at Virgin Blue delivering into service a first of type fleet introduction in Australia. Following this Philip moved into the V Australia start up team tasked with the introduction of the Boeing 777-300ER to Australia, another first of type.

Philip’s proven ability to deliver and direct complex projects and new business from concept to implementation led him to lead the Project Management Division for the Strategic Group of companies. The division was responsible for the forward development of the Commercial, Corporate and Operational departments and oversaw the transition of the business from a Charter Operator to a Regular Public Transport airline. During Philip's time at Strategic he was promoted to Group Executive, Business Planning and Strategy and tasked with managing all regulatory approvals, Government and CASA liaison, and the entry and launch into new markets.

 

Philip provides specialist services to clients in project and program oversight, organisational change management, strategic planning, aircraft type introduction, AOC acquisition, EDTO introduction, airline start op, executive advice and commercial planning. 

 

Philip holds a Bachelor of Aviation (Management) and has undertaken post-graduate Law and Project Management Institute (PMI) training.

Anthony Cicuttini, Senior Consultant

Anthony has extensive cross-functional industry experience, gained from delivering projects across 16 countries in various operational, planning, and economic capacities.

Starting his career in airport and airline operations in Toronto, Canada, Anthony has been based in Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, and now Australia to support aviation projects. He worked with Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport prior to its opening, delivering primary catchment research and traffic forecasts to aid in identifying route opportunities for the facility.

Anthony assists clients to develop data-driven solutions to challenges facing the industry across a range of aviation disciplines. He is an advocate for the greater use of data-based and collaborative decision making to drive the changes necessary to satisfy the growing needs of aviation stakeholders.

In addition to holding a Masters Degree and an Advanced Diploma in Aviation Management from Griffith University and Georgian College respectively, Anthony is currently undertaking a University of London Economics and Finance degree, and guest lectures in Aviation Research Methods at Griffith University.

Mackenzie Grant, USA Principal

Mackenzie Grant is a native of Scotland with over fifty years experience in the aviation and airline industry. Mackenzie started his distinguished career with Scandinavian Airlines before moving to Caledonian Airways as an Operations Controller. Following on from this role Mackenzie held a number of positions in Africa and the Middle East prior to being appointed Caledonian’s Station Manager at New York's JFK airport at the age of 25.

Mackenzie moved into management roles with Northeast Airlines in a number of ports including Nassau, Los Angeles and Boston. Mackenzie also held senior roles with Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong and with British Airways in Los Angeles.

In 1990 Mackenzie joined Virgin Atlantic as Vice President Western USA before moving to the east coast as Senior Vice President North America. Following on from a number of successful route launches and other management roles Mackenzie moved to Delhi in 2000 as Head of Africa and India followed by Head of Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong. 

Mackenzie retired from Virgin Atlantic in 2006 and provided consulting services to a number of aviation and airline companies culminating in the successful start-up of V Australia, a Boeing 777 operation to the United States.

David is an industry leader and Director of Complete Aviation Solutions. David is a qualified CPA and this accounting experience has underpinned his career successes. David moved into the aviation sector with the launch of Virgin Blue where he held many roles including Corporate Affairs Manager, Head of Infrastructure, Commercial Manager before becoming Head of Ground Operations.

 

With a consultative management style, specialised experience in financial, legislative and regulatory processes, vast practice in contract negotiations, project management, cargo, ground handling, airline management, airport operations and infrastructure development; David provides specialised and dedicated solutions to businesses.

 

David has an established professional network of key relationships interacting frequently with major Airlines, Airports and Regulatory bodies; working to drive, focus and motivate multi-disciplined teams to achieve project objectives and lead large and complex businesses to be profitable, via direct involvement in strategic decision making.

 

Throughout his career, David has lead teams in excess of 1,000 staff and 500 contractors and been accountable for over $500m worth of expenditure per annum, as well as negotiated in excess of $1billion worth of contracts.

Kimberly Swan, Senior Consultant

Kimberly has a background in both the private and public sector, enabling her to develop extensive transferable communication, analytical, project and relationship management skills, experience and knowledge.

Beginning her career in Marketing and Events based projects across a variety of industries, Kimberly has a broad range of experience of which to draw from. Her keen interest in Aviation drew her back to formal education, during which time she concurrently worked in the Queensland Public Sector continuing to foster strong skills in communication, strategic thinking and cultivation of productive working relationships, whilst building her knowledge of the aviation industry, its operations and specialities.

Kimberly has been with the CAS team for over a year, demonstrating a solution-oriented approach for clients in areas of strategic analysis, risk management, creative development, human resources, training & education, logistics, administration as well as online & digital solutions.

Kimberly holds both Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Aviation qualifications from Griffith University.

Bob has had over 32 years’ service with  major International Australian carriers. During this time, he gained hands on experience in all aspects of Airport management roles of major airline operations. This includes the Corporate overview of Airport Operations of multiple airports in an international / domestic role both with airline staff and with contracted Ground Handling Companies.

 

Bob has worked in overseas locations including Singapore, China, Japan, India for a major international airline.
 

A variety of additional roles include:

  • Aviation Industrial Award Restructuring

  • Management of International & Regional (Australian) Airport Operations

  • Clients airline contracts and negotiations including International Airport Security Screening Agreements

  • Procurement Specialist in IATA SGHA - Ground Handling, Service Agreements, Catering, Cargo. Code share, Engineering, Security, Service Agreements, setting of agreed KPI’s and the management of the contracts

  • Operational Management roles in Airport Services covering Europe, South Africa, S.E. Asia.

  • Head of Team for new start-up airports and oversaw the Training and development of those operations in an International and domestic environment.

  • Airline Manuals including Drug and Alcohol Policies.

Michel worked his way up from a checking agent to Vice President of an international airline over his 40 years of experience within the aviation industry. Michel's career took him to many different parts of the world such as Africa, Asia and the Pacific islands and while doing so exercised a strong management ability. During Michel's time in the industry he has worked in a number of levels within an airline of varying responsibilities, such as Airport and Operation Manager, and Commercial and Marketing Manager. Michel also has experience as a Cargo Manager in a number of countries.


Further to Michel's operational and commercial experience he has lead and implemented a number of new routes and stations with both UTA and Air France.

 

Following on after 25 years with international legacy carriers, Michel moved to a smaller international airline and joined Air Caledonie International during the development of the carriers long haul services. Michel was an integral  part of the team that was in charge of the A330 and A320 aircraft implementation from concept to delivery. At Air Caledonie Michel implemented new fare structures, the airlines frequent flyer program and negotiated numerous interline agreements.


Michel was then directly responsible for the launching of flights to Osaka, Tokyo and then to Seoul, with the opening of local representative offices. At that stage Michel launched a new inflight entertainment system including hardware acquisition and content placement. Michel was then promoted to Vice President Commercial  and was in charge of all commercial and marketing activities around the world.
